Thanks Rhys. Our house is old and we have had 5 different plumbers in over the past 5 years and not been too happy, could not have recommended the past plumbers to anyone, but now we finally have found a plumber we will be able to contact again if we need anything. Extremely disappointed with this service. I paid over $600 simply to replace a tap and I had already supplied the tap myself. We also asked about replacing another tap, but apparently the job was too difficult. A lot of time was spent looking at it, only to eventually tell me it couldn’t be done. Fine, I can accept that. What I can’t understand is the pricing. When I questioned the amount, I was told they don’t charge by the hour, yet the call-out fee apparently includes the first 30 minutes. The whole pricing structure was very confusing and, in my experience, not communicated professionally. My advice: ask for a clear price before allowing any work to begin. I certainly didn’t expect to pay more than $600 to have a tap replaced when I had already provided the tap myself.
