Thanks Rhys. Our house is old and we have had 5 different plumbers in over the past 5 years and not been too happy, could not have recommended the past plumbers to anyone, but now we finally have found a plumber we will be able to contact again if we need anything. We had a laundry tap leaking and our shower needed repairs and it was all handled fast, with good communication. Rhys was able to look holistically at the whole house and let us know about why we might be experienced more regular plumbing issues, he did some investigating and gave us realistic options, with all the info we needed so we could choose what we wanted fixed and how and in what budget, no drama, no hard sell, very respectful. Thanks again.

Thanks so much Tyler and Jamie for your work on our storm water, tap servicing and rangehood flute. The process for the quote and competed works was efficient and professional. I loved how I got the quotes on the spot from Tyler and then was able to talk through options. He also went out of his way to check for blockages, leaks and overflow from our gutters, we really appreciate you doing that for us. The guys worked on our building (mixed commercial and residential apartments) in Essendon. They informed us when they would be making more noise and when would be a suitable time to do those works. They were also approachable and communicative. All works were completed on time to a good standard, we were happy as a group overall. Would work with them again.

Great service from start to finish.
Thank you to both Jodie for organising everything over the phone and to Jamie for not only fixing our leaking toilet connection but also for installing the plumbing for our fridge. He did a great job, and we really appreciated his professionalism and attention to detail. Everything was cleaned up and left neat and tidy once the work was completed.

Extremely disappointed with this service.
I paid over $600 simply to replace a tap and I had already supplied the tap myself.
We also asked about replacing another tap, but apparently the job was too difficult. A lot of time was spent looking at it, only to eventually tell me it couldn’t be done. Fine, I can accept that.
What I can’t understand is the pricing. When I questioned the amount, I was told they don’t charge by the hour, yet the call-out fee apparently includes the first 30 minutes. The whole pricing structure was very confusing and, in my experience, not communicated professionally.
My advice: ask for a clear price before allowing any work to begin. I certainly didn’t expect to pay more than $600 to have a tap replaced when I had already provided the tap myself.

Tyler came out the next day after we called about our dripping taps. He quoted on the spot and was able to get the job done straight away. He identified that the water pressure was too high, installed a pressure reduction valve, and replaced and serviced our old taps. Professional, prompt and efficient - would recommend!

Tyler was able to attend at short notice as we needed the gas system on our BBQ trailer checked before an event. He was extremely thorough and took the time to go over everything properly.
He also gave us some great feedback and practical advice on how we could improve our operations, which we really appreciated. His knowledge and expertise were top-notch, and it was clear he genuinely cared about making sure everything was safe and working as it should.

I highly recommend Tyler and Modern Plumbing Group. Tyler provided excellent service, communicated clearly and carried out a thorough investigation of the water ingress issue at my property.
The investigation was detailed and involved opening the wall to inspect the affected area and wall cavity. Tyler provided a comprehensive report with clear findings, photographs and details of the likely water-entry points and remedial sealing works completed.

I had Modern Plumbing Group come out and put a pressure limiting valve on my property in Maribyrnong. They had to dig a hole in the front yard to complete the work. Once they finished the work they replaced the soil and you couldn't even tell that there was a hole made. They were very clean and professional and Taylor was very helpful with a few other plumbing issues we needed to discuss . I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber and will absolutely use them again.

Modern plumbing come around to do the plumbing for my outdoor kitchen and re-plumb my water tank and upgrade the pump.
All the work done by Rhys ,James and Tyler was done in a tradesman like manner, and to a very high standard and the quoting was very fair, the guys were very easy to deal with and nothing was a problem, they come on time and everything was left tidy.
Michelle in the office was great , she is very efficient, and everything was organised promptly & professionally.
All in all Modern plumbing was fantastic, highly recommended.

I have worked with Rhys and Tyler and their team on a number of occasions now - they have carried out plumbing repairs both internally and externally on my house in South Yarra. Most recently they have carried out extensive works to my gutters all around the house, in addition to repairs to my old tin roof!
They have proven time and again to be extremely reliable, and together with Michelle in the office, extremely easy and friendly to communicate with. Their effort and care are second to none!

Had a sewer blockage at my rental, and the team was great from start to finish. Nathaniel came out the next day, spent hours fixing it, and explained everything clearly, which really put me at ease. Michelle was a legend — she contacted Greater Western Water on our behalf without me even asking. Tyler also came out, wrote up a report, and didn’t charge for it. I was kept in the loop the whole way through, and they genuinely cared about getting it sorted properly. Super professional, easy to deal with, and I’d definitely use them again. As a landlord, it’s a huge relief knowing you’ve got a team you can trust to handle these things without the runaround.

In August 2025 I had a leak in the fire service to my warehouse in Tullamarine. My plumber was unavailable but recommended Modern Plumbing. Within a day of my phone call they had excavated the area, repaired the pipe and restored the garden area. I can highly recommend Modern Plumbing.

We had a storm water drain that was filling up fast and a pump that was not working normally. We called Tyler and he came out and assessed the problem. He and his colleague came out the next day and they pumped out the water, assessed the issue and resolved it. Great customer service, professional workmanship and competitive pricing.

I hired Mordern plumbing group from a recommendation and only realised they’re not local afterwards. Despite a fair bit of drive, Tyler was happy to come out to give me a quote and tried his best to organise his team to work around my tight schedule.
